Campaign Purpose
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, North Texas’ public transit has experienced a significant decline in ridership. DART, DCTA, Trinity Metro, and NCTCOG have coordinated on communications efforts in response. This response effort has three goals:
- Ensuring transit agencies’ safety measures and technologies are understood by the public, while showing collaboration amongst regional agencies.
- Increase North Texans’ trust in public transit
- Increase public transit ridership
Public transit is essential to helping communities recover from this pandemic. As part of a coordinated effort to address this, NCTCOG has taken steps to include local partners with a vested interest or close relationship with our 3 main transit agencies. In order to achieve this, we are asking these partners to share and promote messages that are branded for the Transit Pandemic Recovery Communications Campaign.
We are offering several different branded elements to support this effort, especially related to the transit agencies’ health and safety measures.
As people reconnect to what they need, love, and aspire to achieve, public transportation will be there every step of the way. NCTCOG will continue to work with public transit, local partners, and businesses to meet North Texans’ needs as best we can to aid in recovery.
