The DFWMaps Marketplace is a mapping interface where high resolution data can be purchased and downloaded. The Marketplace makes the data available to interested parties doing work in the coverage area. The user interface will display grids where the particular data is available.

Past GIS Meeting Presentations
If you missed the May 2023 Regional GIS Meeting, don't fret. You can view all of the presentations in the meeting archive at the bottom of the page.
No More Blanket Processing Fee!
We have removed the $15 processing fee for Marketplace orders. Instead we are adding $2 per product tile for processing so that the fee will be scaled to your order size.
2023 Lidar is Now Available
Lidar at 0.5 Meter resolution has been collected for multiple areas across North Central Texas. Check it out on the DFW Marketplace.
Featured Data
NCTCOG Multiyear Contours (2009-2019)
NCTCOG has developed a layer of 2' cartographic-quality digital elevation contours. It uses the the most recent lidar and digital elevation model data available for a given area.
Half Meter Lidar
Lidar is available at .5 Meter resolution for multiple areas across North Central Texas. It was acquired for years 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023. The data can be purchased and dowloaded in .txt and .las file formats.
2021 High-resolution Orthophotography
Highly accurate 2021 orthophotography is now available for the entire 16 county North Central Texas Region plus Jack County. 6-inch imagery, and in some areas 3-inch imagery, can be purchased and downloaded in TIF files. Imagery was flown during the 2021 leaf-off season (Jan-March).
Planimetrics
In 2007, NCTCOG contracted with a vendor to digitize building footprints, paved road edges, parking lots, bridges, and sidewalk centerlines for a large portion of North Texas. Data layers are available in GIS and CAD formats.
Detailed 2 Foot Contours
Detailed 2 foot contours are available for select areas in 2015, 2017, and 2018. The data is available in both .shp and .dxf formats. The contour detail is a significant upgrade from our contours produced in 2007.
Regional Data Center
RDC is a service of the Research and Information Services (RIS) department. RIS provides objective information and analysis on the development of the region for use in planning and economic development activities. Major focus areas include population, employment, land use, development, and geospatial data.
RDC
Spatial Data Cooperative Program
Since 2001, NCTCOG's RIS Department has facilitated the purchase of spatial data for North Central Texas as a cost-sharing objective for local governments and other interested entities. Potential data acquisition includes high-resolution, color, orthophotography (orthos), elevation data (LiDAR) and numerous derivative products created from orthos and/or LiDAR.
SDCPDFWMaps
Through DFWMAPS, you can interact with a variety of geographic data layers. The site also facilitates summaries of demographic data. This is a great resource for viewing geospatial data and generating maps than can be saved or exported.
