Collin County Transit Study

  

The Collin County Transit Study aims to develop a comprehensive public transportation plan that can be strategically implemented and is complementary to other planning efforts.  The study will identify transit options, funding options, implementation strategies, governance structure strategies and institutional delivery approach options of recommended services options. Potential impacts on the community will also be analyzed.  

A detailed analysis for the Irving to Frisco Passenger Rail Corridor will also be conducted.  Land use near potential station areas, ridership estimates, and efficient access to and from each station by various modes will be evaluated to produce  recommendations for this corridor. 

The overall Collin County Transit Study and the incorporated Irving to Frisco Passenger Rail Corridor Study will each be directed by separate Project Advisory Committees consisting of local stakeholders.
