How can I do business with the North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging?

The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging enters into a number of agreements for nutrition, transportation, caregiver, and other support services. Agreement periods of performance vary, from one year to five years. Where is your office and are there any hotels nearby?

The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging is located at the North Central Texas Council of Governments, 616 Six Flags Drive,  in Arlington. For a map and driving directions, click here.

How is the agency funded?

The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging receives federal funds from the Administration for Community Living (ACL), state funds from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), and local funds from the counties within its service area. In addition, its programs are supported by client contributions.

Who oversees the Agency’s work?

The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging is a program of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) and, as such, is governed by NCTCOG’s Executive Board. It receives strategic direction from the Regional Aging Advisory Committee. In addition, it reports to  the Texas Heath and Human Services Commission as its primary funding source.

What are the agency's strategic priorities?

The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging details its strategic priorities in multi-year area plans, as required by the Older Americans Act.   The plans must be approved by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, under its authority as the State Unit on Aging.

The agency is operating under an area plan  for Fiscal Years 2021-2022 that has been approved by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

What are the region's transportation needs?
