The Springtown EMPOWER program is funded by Texas Health, through a grant with United Way of Tarrant County.   CHOICE services are available to residents of zip code 76082 who are at least 18 years of age.

• Home-delivered meals: Parker County Committee on Aging  brings frozen meals to those who are homebound. For more information call 817-594-7419 or 817-695-9193.
•  Program to Encourage Active and Rewarding Lives (PEARLS):  A PEARLS helper/encourager works with Springtown residents who feel sad and helps them develop action plans for doing things they enjoy.   For more information call 817-695-9193.
• Volunteer transportation services:  Volunteers with Cornerstone Community Church provide transportation to doctors' appointments, pharmacies, and other locations.  Riders must be able to get into and out of standard vehicles without assistance.  Call 817-695-9193 to see if a volunteer is available.
• Access to public benefits:  A benefits specialist with the North Central Texas Aging and Disability Resource Center screens Springtown residents to see if they qualify for Medicaid, Medicare Savings Programs, Medicare Low-Income Subsidies, and in-home services through the State of Texas.  In addition, they'll help fill out applications as needed. For more information call 1-855-937-2372.

In addition, Texas Health is funding Center of Hope to provide basic assistance (such as groceries and prescription assistance), professional counseling, and career development classes.  The Center of Hope has an office in Springtown, located at 350 Agnes N, that's open between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays.
