COVID-19 Infrastructure Program
The COVID-19 Infrastructure Program is intended to address the large economic setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. As was done during the economic downturn in 2009, the idea is to help the local and regional economies recover by investing in transportation infrastructure. The selected projects meet one or more of the policies in the region’s long-range Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and/or will assist in reaching the region’s federal performance targets.
Since June 2020, several rounds of COVID-19 Infrastructure projects have been presented to and approved by the Regional Transportation Council (RTC). More information on each approved set of projects can be found below.
NCTCOG is also monitoring the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on numerous aspects of our region’s transportation system. For more information, please visit: Transportation Trends Related to COVID-19
