Transportation Development Credits

A Transportation Development Credit (TDC) is a financial accounting tool approved by the Federal Highway Administration that allows states to use federal funding without the requirement of a cash match.  These credits are non-cash credits allocated to states (who divide them among regions) as a representative value to account for toll road and tolled managed lanes that benefit the federal system.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Region has been allocated more than 994 million TDCs.  It is important to note that these are credits and not real dollars.   The links below will direct you to the official websites of the Federal Highway Administration and the Texas Secretary of State where you can access the latest information about TDCs.
