LEED Certification
Leadership in ENERGY and Environmental Design (LEED) was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council in 2000 to provide building owners and operators a framework to identify and implement practical and measurable green building design, construction, and maintenance and operation solutions. Green building design utilizes sustainable and long-term cost effective materials and practices to create energy efficient structures with small environmental footprints.
LEED promotes sustainable building and development practices through a set of rating systems that recognize projects that implement strategies for better environmental and health performance.
