Dallas - Edison/Hi Line

Edison Mixed-Use Development
2009-2010 Call for Projects
Status: Complete

The Edison/Hi Line project is a high-rise mixed-use development with residential apartments, ground-level retail, and restaurant spaces. It is located in the Design District and served by bus and rail transit, which connect the area to the South Victory District, Medical District and Downtown Dallas. The project includes pedestrian amenities, landscaping and signage improvements on Edison Street and Hi Line Drive. Sidewalk improvements at the IH 35 underpass connect the project to a Katy Trail pedestrian access point approximately 0.2 miles away on Houston Street. The project also connects the mixed-use development to the Santa Fe Trail, Victory Station DART rail station, and American Airlines Center.

The development location and funded improvements allow for bicycle and pedestrian access to these surrounding amenities in addition to recreation areas, a variety of restaurants, and showrooms within the Design District.

The project cost of $1,438,829 was funded through public-private partnerships.
