Criminal Justice FY13 Funding Recommendations
Disclaimer: If your project is recommended to CJD for funding, this only means that your project scored above the limit for recommended projects (at least 70 points). It DOES NOT mean that your project will get funded. CJD will make final funding decisions based on the money available in each program category, project eligibility, NCTCOG recommendations, reasonableness, and cost effectiveness.
The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is responsible for reviewing funding requests, setting priorities, and recommending allocation priorities for Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division (CJD) funds for projects in this region. CJD will verify the eligibility, reasonableness and cost-effectiveness of all grant applications, and submit the eligible applications to NCTCOG for scoring. Grant applications are reviewed by the Criminal Justice Policy Development Committee (CJPDC). The Committee is appointed by, and serves at the pleasure of, NCTCOG's Executive Board. The Executive Board then votes on CJPDC's priorities.
Eligible applications are scored by the CJPDC and those scores set the priority rankings. Below you will find NCTCOG's priority rankings for General Victim Assistance – Direct Services, Violent Crimes Against Women Criminal Justice and Training, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and Criminal Justice applications.
Important Notice |
“Pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Administrative Code, after the CJPDC prioritizes the grant applications and the COG's governing body approves the priority listing, the COG submits the written priority listing to CJD. Based upon the COG's priority listing, CJD will verify the eligibility, reasonableness and cost-effectiveness of the proposed project, and the availability of funding, and will render final funding decisions on these grant applications. The COG will notify grantees of any changes in the funding recommendations.”
